Women's History Council

Worked with a team during Weekend for Good, an event that brings designers and developers together to help nonprofits in and around West Michigan. We created a new website for the Greater Grand Rapids Women's History Council, designed a new logo, and social media images. During the weekend, I was in charge of creating their new logo and color pallete, a set of iconography, and implementing the new design into their social media images.

The icons in the logo and other branded materials are abstract versions of people with distinctive and geometric features to represent different kinds of women/people. They are incorporated into squares and rectangles to symbolize building blocks. This illustrates the idea that the historic women that GGRWHC showcases are the building blocks t hat link today’s women to their past.
